You breathe better, improve neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, have better mood and sleep, and more! We also talked about the heatlh benefits of vitamin D.

This week I talked about a few topics! Not exactly a natural medicine thing, but I talked about how to preserve your fashion hair color if you like to go swimming, and what kind of shampoo to use! I also commended Dylan Dreyer on her piece on the Today Show where she made green pancakes containing SPINACH with her kids, and we talked about this and other things as a way to get your kids to eat vegetables. Then we talked about negative ions, how to access and why they're good for you, and why an indoor ionizer is NOT so good for you. We finished with Ron's current issue, muscle cramping from statins and how to help that.

This week I just HAD to talk some more about why nature is good for you! We focused on the health benefits of being in or around water. We also talked about studies on why being in nature in general is good for you. Then on to basically, the only safe sunblockers are the metals, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. All the other chemicals, like avobenzone and oxybenzone, have endocrine disrupting properties!

He focuses on helping people to get outside, and has studied and published on the health benefits of being outside in nature! Who woulda guessed, getting outside is good for your health! We talked about how there are studies on being outdoors and reducing cortisol and blood pressure. Also, Earth Day is Monday, and we talked about enjoying and being a good steward to Mother Earth. I want to remind people to slow down and enjoy the holiday season, not just do everything and anything! Meditate, read, relax, listen to music, go for a stroll. Watch the HALLMARK CHANNEL. Get your negative ions and go out in nature! Also, POTATOES can be your friend. They have resistant starch to help blood sugar, potassium to calm you down, and their skins have lots of antioxidants to prevent tissue damage in your body! The darker the potato, the more antioxidants, just like berries. So grab those purple potatoes! Also, more on yacon syrup: that molasses-like syrup from that starchy tuber that can help with weight loss.
