Radio Naturopath Episode 235: Eat Less Starch and Sugar, Wilson's Sydrome and Hypothryoid, Herbs for Cognition

I kept hearing these PSAs about eating meat as a condiment instead of the main part of your meal, but I have observed that most people overeat starch and sugar, not meat! Use THAT as a condiment! More great topic review from the NHAND Conference! This time, we discuss highlights from Denis Wilson, M.D.’s talk on Hashimoto’s and hypothyroid. Radio Naturopath Episode 185: Pros and Cons of Naturopathic Medicine; Dizziness and Vertigo: Why? How to Treat

I discuss the pros and cons of seeing a naturopathic physician. What's so great about us, anyway? Lots! We spend time with you, get to know you as a person, are very creative about helping you heal as an individual. We take a more holistic approach to all of your health concerns, including your pharmaceuticals. We are extensively trained in many kinds of natural medicine, including herbs, homeopathy, and nutrition. So what could be bad? Well, in Connecticut we can't be your PCP or prescribe and manage your pharmaceuticals. That's because of our very old, arcane law that has not been modernized since its enactment in 1923. We're still working on it! Talk to your state representative!

Also, we talk about DIZZINESS. What is it, really? What are some direct causes? How can we treat it? Dizziness can be really minor, really serious, and somewhere in between! But, hit that gingko and ginger and they can help!

Radio Naturopath Episode 181: Hering's Law of Cure and How to Raise Testosterone, Naturally!

It's related to Treat the Cause. The idea is that if you treat a condition externally, you'll only palliate it and may even suppress it so that it can go deeper into the body. If you're eating a food that's causing intestinal inflammation, and therefore giving you eczema, it's better to stop eating the food, heal the gut with rest and herbs and supplements and food than it is to just put some steroid cream on the eczema! From the top down: that's about healing the BRAIN, which can be the biggest obstacle to cure!

I also talk about how men can raise their testosterone naturally. Exercise, good diet, fat loss, eating good quality fat, some herbs can all help!
